   Helpful video! Yes, there should be a round plastic cover over the drain plug. I did not see how you undid the filter housing, but I found the 75.6mm 14-flute OTC 6903 2.3L Oil Filter Wrench Socket for Ford/Mazda ~12$ from Amazon, to be VERY handy with that.
